# Studio and Try it

> Add what customers can do, design what they see in the chat, test it, and publish when you are ready.

**Studio** is where you shape what customers see when an assistant shows your business: cards, forms and booking steps. Nothing goes live until you publish it.

Open it from the sidebar: **Your business** → **Studio**.

<Note>
  In an **Evaluation only** project, Studio is locked. See [Evaluation only](/get-started/set-up-your-business#evaluation-only).
</Note>

## Services: what customers can do

A **service** is one thing a customer can do with your business in a chat — read about you, ask a question, book a time, browse your products. Your business needs at least one service before an assistant can use it.

If you have none yet, Studio says **Add a service to start designing**. Choose **Add a service**.

</Frame>

1. Pick a category at the top — **Business**, **Bookings**, **Enquiries**, **Showcase**, **Products** — or **Start from scratch**.
2. Choose **Preview** on a card to see an example first.
3. Choose the card itself, give the service a name, and choose **Create**.

Studio then opens the new service, ready to design.

## The Studio screen

</Frame>

* **Top bar** — your business and the service you are working on. Open the service name to switch to another one. **Review changes** opens publishing.
* **Left edge** — the panels:

| Panel | What it is for |
| - | - |
| **Structure** | The steps of the customer's journey, and the parts of each step (**Steps**, **Layers**, **Assets**, **Insert**). |
| **Data** | Where each part gets its information from. |
| **Tools** | What customers can do. |
| **Assistant** | Ask the Agent to make a change for you. See [The Agent](/your-business/agent). |
| **Try it** | Chat with your live business, the way a customer would. |

* **Middle** — the design itself. Switch between **Edit** and **Preview**.
* **Right** — **Inspect**: the settings of the part you selected.

The **⋯** button at the bottom left opens more: **Brand & look** (logo, colours, fonts), **Request** (add a form customers can fill in), **Languages**, **Emails**, **Publish**, **Business**, **Automations** and **History**.

## Keep your business details up to date

Open **Business** — or choose **Edit business** on your Dashboard. Your details are grouped as **Who you are**, **What you offer** and **Where and when**.

  <img src="https://mintcdn.com/aibuku/OewFkA-F0KFO1Dms/images/screens/studio-business.webp?fit=max&auto=format&n=OewFkA-F0KFO1Dms&q=85&s=2065fa13610566e9c86b5abea51040e7" alt="The Business panel in Studio with the salon's details: who you are, what you offer, and where and when." width="2880" height="1800" data-path="images/screens/studio-business.webp" />
</Frame>

* Change any field, then choose **Save**. **Discard** undoes your unsaved changes.
* To add or change your logo, choose **Upload a logo**. The logo saves straight away.
* If your website mentions something you have not filled in yet, Studio suggests it under the empty field (*From your site: …*). Choose **Use** to take it, or **Fill the empty fields** to take all suggestions at once.
* Not sure what a field means? Choose the info button next to the heading to open **About these settings**.

## Test with Try it

Open **Try it** from the left edge. Choose **ChatGPT** or **Claude** at the top to see how each one shows your business, and ask a question the way a customer would.

<Frame>
  <img src="https://mintcdn.com/aibuku/OewFkA-F0KFO1Dms/images/screens/studio-try-it.webp?fit=max&auto=format&n=OewFkA-F0KFO1Dms&q=85&s=d107bf9d701bc7269ae32efa3d9b762a" alt="Try it: a customer's question and the answer, with the salon's card shown inside the chat." width="2880" height="1800" data-path="images/screens/studio-try-it.webp" />
</Frame>

You see the answer and the cards your customer would see. Open **What it used** to see which of your services the assistant used. **New chat** starts over.

<Note>
  Try it tests your **live** business — what customers see right now. Changes you have not published yet do not show here. Publish them first, then try again. Each question counts toward your plan's Try it questions.
</Note>

If a customer sends a request in Try it, it arrives in your [Inbox](/your-business/inbox), just like a real one.

## Publish

Your changes stay a private draft until you publish. Choose **Review changes** at the top right.

  <img src="https://mintcdn.com/aibuku/OewFkA-F0KFO1Dms/images/screens/studio-publish.webp?fit=max&auto=format&n=OewFkA-F0KFO1Dms&q=85&s=464d47f6de11741479ff15be7c61b48b" alt="The Publish panel: Checks passed, Run checks, Publish design, and the version history." width="2880" height="1800" data-path="images/screens/studio-publish.webp" />
</Frame>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Run checks">
    Choose **Run checks**. Aibuku checks that your design is readable, laid out well and that its buttons work, in the views assistants use.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fix any problems">
    If a check finds a problem, **Show in design** takes you to it. Where it is offered, **Fix with assistant** asks the Agent to fix it in your draft. You review the result before you publish.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Publish">
    When the checks pass, choose **Publish design**. Your new design replaces the live one for customers.
  </Step>
</Steps>

If you change the draft after running checks, run them again. The old results no longer apply.

## Go back to an earlier version

Every published design is listed under **Version history**, with the live one marked **live now**. Choose **Roll back** on an earlier version to make it live again. You can choose whether your draft is replaced too.
